Bulls Sign Local Product Jannero Pargo

Wednesday Jannero Pargo signed a 1-year deal for $2 million to join the Bulls back court.

The 29-year-old Pargo played 102 games for the Bulls over a three year stretch earlier in his career and played in Moscow last season. The Robeson High grad was brought in to strengthen the back court depth after Ben Gordon left for Detroit.

Mark Bartelstein, Pargo's Chicago-based agent said, "It's a great fit, a lot of teams wanted him, but he loved it here. He's an explosive scorer who can take up some slack for Gordon."

He will not replace Ben Gordon's scoring but he can shoot, score, and will not turn the ball over nearly as much.

The Bulls are still somewhat thin at Guard.

According to KC Johnson of the Tribune, the Bulls plan on bringing back Lindsay Hunter either as a final roster spot or possibly joining new hire Randy Brown in player development.

That leaves the Bulls with Rose, Hinrich, Pargo, and little used Anthony Roberson and DeMarcus Nelson.
